With the theme, “Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. The Wine Of The Spirit

Every Christian is a recipient of the anointing of God. We must nurture this anointing to become an effective Christian. This was the message of the Lord through Reverend Pastor Edgar Valdoria, the Director for Asia, Micronesia and Middle East in his preaching last 22 March 2009.

The preaching centered on John 2:1-11 which speaks of Jesus’ miracle at a wedding at Cana in Galilee. This was the first miracle performed by Jesus when He turned the water at the banquet into wine. Rev Valdoria highlighted that the wine symbolizes the wine of the Spirit of God which is manifested by our love for the Lord. It is observed that when we are ‘on fire’ with the Lord, we are passionate in serving Him, in tithing and in praying. This normally takes place when we are in our comfort zone and everything seems to be in its perfect place.

Mighty people in the land, in service to the Living God

Falling in love with Jesus

It is all over the headlines and still constitutes worry beyond our society’s norm. It’s a depressing season for most people, people losing jobs, huge corporations closing down, and banks on panic mode. You name it, you’ve read it. But beyond a horizon of great challenges lies a peaceful calm, a joyous expectation, a praiseful worship. Are we watching a “feel-good” movie? Sort of, but it’s not actually a movie, though the end has been written and testified in glorious ways, there is this land full of hope, a land who watches not the setting of the sun but who waits for its rising. It’s a land where people believe in grace, in mercy in a redemptive agenda to fulfill a written Word, it is where God inhabits the praise of His people.

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples

John 15:1-8

Jesus is the vine and we as the branches must remain attached, dryness for some reasons make Christians un-attached, they become disconnected until they eventually fall from the Body of Christ. It is important to keep in heart that as long as Jesus is alive, there is hope.
